Welcome to Still Their Child (and AgingParents.Guide)
What this is, why it exists, and how you can use it.
You might be wondering:
Is this AgingParents.Guide… or Still Their Child?
And why are there legal and financial guides mixed in with emotional support?
The short answer: it’s all part of the same mission.

Why This Exists
This project started from my own experience — helping my mom through cancer, and watching my dad age in ways that quietly changed both of us.
It left me feeling unprepared, unsure, and emotionally pulled in more directions than I could count.
I didn’t set out to become a caregiver. Most of us don’t.
It just...happens. Gradually, then all at once.
And while there are plenty of articles and checklists out there, I couldn’t find anything that helped me feel understood.
So I created the thing I wish had existed back then.
Still Their Child isn’t advice from above.
It’s support from someone in it too — trying to hold onto empathy, dignity, and a little clarity in the mess.
Most advice out there is clinical or cold.
This is something else.
Something quieter, more human.
You’re not alone.
Stick around. Read a few posts. Or just take a breath.
This space is here for you.
